The purpose of the 2019 Marketing Technology Report was to glean insights relative to ever changing MarTech landscape. The goal is to help marketers and agencies improve their respective businesses.
I attended last year’s MarTech West conference in San Jose and was blown away at the new ideas and new platforms that permeated that conference. While it was all really cool, what became pretty crystal clear is that this glut of firms makes it really difficult for marketers and agencies to sort through it all. We thought there was a lot of sameness among agencies – you should see how much so many of these firms look alike!
5-7 years ago there were 100 MarTech firms. Today there are over 7,000!
With so much changing so fast in the MarTech space, we felt that this would be a good area to focus our efforts on.
We asked Marketers and Agencies about their use of MarTech platforms, their attitudes towards MarTech platforms, and how they each felt about each other’s savviness in the space, among other topics.
Some interesting findings for sure!
