GoToMeeting – Need a Right-Sized Media Agency
GoToMeeting needed a media agency that could give them the attention they felt like they deserved.
Situation/Background
Citrix On-Line, the global parent company of GoToMeeting, was looking for a media planning and buying firm to manage their account. They had long been represented by one of the larger global media firms and felt like they weren’t getting the attention or performance from their media buys that they needed/expected from their Agency. They needed an agency that could make them feel more cared for and more important.
Search Requirements
Citrix was in need of the resources of a larger firm, but believed that a move into another large publically traded global firm would net the same results. They needed higher levels of service. RSW/AgencySearch recommended that Citrix partner with a large independent firm that could help them accomplish their desired goals of increased service and improved media performance.
Agency Selection
Firms from New York, Chicago, and across California were presented. Six firms were initially considered by Citrix. Three were selected for a final pitch (after Agency visits). MediaSmith (out of San Francisco) was selected as Citrix’s digital AOR. The relationship has been going strong since its start in 2010.
