Aspen Dental brought RSW/AgencySearch on board to help them find an agency that could put a campaign together to target Dentists.
Aspen Dental has been growing at an exceptional pace in the U.S. They are creating a new category of dental care practices that mirror the move made by Lenscrafters many years ago. Aspen Dental’s recruiting group has been working with an agency that has provided good service in general, but has not been able to keep up with the changing nature of the digital and social space. Aspen was in need of a firm that could more effectively guide them strategically and analytically into this brave new world. They were also in need of a firm that could help them more effectively position their recruiting brand.
Aspen Dental business required a firm that wasn’t exclusively a specialist at recruiting as Aspen had tried that a couple of times in its past and it had failed (as it was doing now). They needed a firm that could bring smart consumer thinking to the table to help them with the repositioning work and a solid digital/social player that could help them manage the space to more effectively communicate with, and recruit new talent into the organization. RSW/AgencySearch presented 8 agencies during the RFI phase and quickly narrowed the list down to a group of 3 finalist.
After a series of one-on-one Q&A/Chemistry calls, and agency visits, Aspen is now ready for the final pitch presentations which are slated for later this month (September, 2012). The final three agencies are all mid-size, privately held firms that all bring solid digital/social and brand repositioning work to the table. A final selection will be made the first of October, 2012.
